Each February the club runs the Seaside Boat Show. The club rents the Roland E Powell Convention Center from the city and rents space to over 150 vendors. Over 50 boat dealers and other vendors take advantage of the event. Over 350 boats and all the newest nautical and fishing equipment are on display. Over 85 club members work the show! 2025 will be our 42nd Boat Show.
In 2001 the Optimist Club Foundation established an endowment account with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore. Funds are raised for the award of scholarships to Stephen Decatur High School. Over $95,000 has been raised through the annual golf tournament in the past 13 years.
